Stevedores Team at Stueng Hav Port

Our port will try to adopt and implement the Stevedore Operating Scheme to regulate and manage the stevedoring companies providing services in the port. We will work with:

  • Stevedoring Companies under the General Cargo Operations category
  • Stevedoring Companies under the Bulk Cargo Operations category
  • Fishery Companies under the Fishery Operations category
  • Wooden Craft Companies under the Wooden Craft Operations category
  • BBC Chartering & Clippers Projects operate a service from Asia via South Africa to ECSA, mainly offering project based tramper services

This systematic approach to manage professional stevedores will eventually partner with our customers on many levels to customize flexible arrangements to accommodate the efficient handling of a diverse range of cargo.

Stueng Hav International Port will also introduce a General and Bulk Cargo (GBC) operation system to steer the port towards increased efficiency. With increase efficiency, the stevedore’s tally clerk, for example, will be able to input the cargo discharged and loaded during vessel operations via a mobile Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) applications. With such real-time update of the cargo handling process, the shipping community will be able to monitor status of their vessels and cargo in the port via the Online System portal real-time when we install this system in operation once ready.

This approach will bring better utilization of manpower and minimization of waiting time, thereby increasing overall productivity and service standard.
